Do You Still Buy Harley Dealership T-Shirts?
I used to make it a point to seek out the HD dealership when I was on a road trip to buy a souvenir/memento shirt. Dealerships were as unique as their shirt designs. Then came the "McDonaldization" of dealerships. Brick and glass, more Motorclothes space than bike space. Not only did the dealerships look the same, but so did the tee shirts. A shirt you could buy in Oregon could have the same design as a shirt from Alabama, only the back would be different to advertise that particular dealer.
To me, most designs became stale and corny, with worn-out platitudes such as "If You Have to Ask....etc". J.C. Penney starting selling Officially Licensed H-D wear. Eagles and wolves and other 1970s imagery.
Add in OCC, West Coast Choppers, Sons Of Anarchy crap that started showing up at big box discount stores, and every meth-head or 12 year old on a skateboard was wearing a black t-shirt emblazoned with iron crosses, skulls, flames and every other cliche you can think of.
This is just me, but I'd be just as embarrassed to be seen in an overly-priced (and we all know they are WAY overpriced) Officially Licensed dealer shirt as a Sons Of Anarchy hoodie. The last dealer t-shirt I bought was a really cool one from Auborn, Calfornia (gone now, I think) in 1994

I been buying most of my shirts at Barnett Harley in Texas. No I am not from there, but you can't beat their prices. My local dealership charges almost double for the same shirt. They have great discounts. I will buy some at my local dealer just because but most of mine came from Barnett.

[quote=Lucero1;9662845]If they are $20 or less on the sale rack, I'll occasionally pick one up. Not for $40 though.[/quot
A $20 tee shirt is not a bargain.
