Default S100 Screwed up my bike

For a long time I had no idea why the gloss black finish on some of my bike parts (sissy bar, shocks, and handlebars) were fading and losing its luster. I got a new pair of handlebars put on and then started washing my bike and as usual, I would spray on some S100, the TOTAL motorcycle cleaner before I washed. After I sprayed and washed, I noticed that my new handlebars had started spotting. It finally came to me, S100 totally screwed up my bike and ate up the gloss finish. There's nothing I can do now, but my review of S100 is it sucks.

S100 etched the aluminum on my engine of my Vulcan 750. I only left it on for 2 minutes and rinsed thoroughly. I only use car wash soap on my Harley.

Works perfect.

I just picked some up and was going to give it a try. I will have to rethink that!

I would be sure to follow the instructions, which say to ensure your bike is cool and to spray off the S100 immediately and rinse thoroughly. I've used it several times and have had no issues.

A lot of their products are good, the bike wash sucks at best.

This was my immediate though. No matter what kind of "soap" or "cleaner" you use, you HAVE to be sure that the surface is cool and not sitting in the sun. Otherwise it evaporates right off of the surface, before you have a chance to rinse it off.

WOW, sounds like you cannot read and follow simple instructions. S100 did not screw up your bike, you did.
I have been using S100 for years on all my motorcycles and it has always done what they advertise, cleans well, cleans effectively. I have always followed the simple instructions printed on each container of the stuff. S100 is PRIMO

Isn't s100 acidic? I thought it was a big no no to let it sit on your bike for more than a minute before rinsing?
