Although it may not be a product of the US if you purchase from black beard at least you're buying from an American store. Nothing against Canada (that's the only place I could find an akoury when I purchased mine) but that's just my 2 cents. It's only a $4 difference.

 

well took a ride to Montreal Canada today and tried on several AKOURY helmets. I liked the Terminator helmet the best it fit my style head, and doesn't have that round bowl look to it. and the ratchet strap is so sweet. and for $ 90.00 Canadian. i bought one. got home and compared it to my Harley spoiler helmet the size difference is UN believable and the akoury is so light you forget its on your head.

Just ordered the the AK-1. Have been using an old DOT helmet of my fathers thats from the 80s and is super low pro. I know it's out of date but not a novelty, and prob protects as good as an egg shell. Hope I can retire his sentimental piece now for I have my first son on the way.

That AK-1 is cool with that ridge on the back. Gives it a 'tactical' look to me.

Just got my gloss black AK88 medium today. I ordered it 8/24/14. FYI I have a 22 and 7/8" head. A medium fits perfectly. Very nice helmet. Light weight but more protection than a novelty.

 

I just got my two 88's, one for me and one for my wife. I followed the sizing chart and ended up with an M for me and XXS for the wife. Overall it fits fine but we both have pressure on the temples. How well do these break in? Not sure if I should retun them the next size up.

 

Thanks to everyone my quest to find a low-profile DOT ended with the AK-88 in Gloss Black. Just ordered mine. Can't wait to get it.
