hey the guy just joined last month...nobody jumped his butt about using the search function--so here we go again.
to answer your question flip50, there is a great deal of talk about the road glide coming back in 2015 with a water-cooled engine. the moco pulls one of it's best sellers to re-design the fairing(company line)? EPA requirements are also getting tougher all the time. the time has come for a touring platform v-twin with liquid cooling. the purists hate it-nothing good can come from it. the other camp is really looking forward to the new motor-maybe it will have more power and be longer lasting. time will tell.

If HD goes liquid, I've bought my last one but then at my age, it'd be my last one, liquid or not.

I don't think Harley will ever make all their bikes liquid cooled but just like BMW, and Ducati I think they will have a few liquid cooled bikes to offer to those who prefer more power and less heat. They are already going in the right direction with the vrod. I hope they offer a lighter liquid cooled performance tourer in the future.
