softail custom or dyna low rider?
I'm projecting too far in the future already, but as a woman who is 5'4, and about 122 lbs, I've sat on both, and find them both comfortable...looking down the road is there a preference one would have over the other, to do some long day rides, and just bumming the back roads. Can't test drive either yet...I'm not competant to take on either large bike now, but I can watch Craigslist and the sale ads over the next yr or so. I just sat on the current white softail custom, and I loved the seat! I wish I could have that on my sportster!
Just wan't other's opinions, esp women's...thanks!

A few points to ponder...
people say when they ride a softail it feels like they are sitting in the bike instead of on the bike with the dyna (might be a different case with the low)
2009 Seat heights
fxdl 26.80 in / w/fluids 672 lbs
fxstc 28.30 in. / w/fluids 703 lbs

The Low Rider has mid controls vs. forward for the Softail.
The newer FXSTC seat is huge compared to the original that came on mine.
That's where the major difference is in the different seat heights between the two bikes.
Have you posted in the women's section of the forum?

Someone there might be about your size with first hand experience on the bikes.

The Dynas going to be nearer the Sportster with its mid controls, but only you can really tell what will suit you by riding both types of bike at a Dealership, as for women's opinions try posting this on the " Queens of the road forum "

When your ready, ride both if you can. You'll have your answer then.
Personally, I am a big low rider fan.

I thought that may be an option too, moving them forward. The bikes were in two different dealerships, so it's not like I could hop off one and onto the other. TY
