Default Absolutely Hate to Say It!

Absolutely kills me every year but its time for the girl to be put to sleep for the year. The two temporary steel bridges on sharp corners I have to cross going to work in the am have been covered in ice of late. A bike already wrecked on the 15A bridge last week. 30's now in the morning and almost as cool on my late rides home. Deer, Moose and Bear are really on the move trying to get hunkered down as well. When I hit the bridges the other morning coming to work and again going home, then the ice covered leaves in my steep climb to my house, I pulled her in and dropped the plugs while fluids were all hot! It was sure a shorter and wetter season this year. Hopefully next year will be a lot better and come earlier.....

Days are still pretty nice, but the early am and late night commute sucks. Frost and Ice is not something I like riding over steel bridges on! lol...Snow flurries already have been in the air on the mountain...Its a little early but its time!

Thinking positive, your bike will last a lot longer than ours here in the south where we can ride them into the ground 11+ months a year. You also don't have to worry about getting leather-skinned arms and/or skin cancer while riding your cage for five or six months. By the spring thaw, your bike will no doubt be clean and shiny with a few new goodies for the (short) riding season.

Not far away from putting mine away for the winter here in S/C Michigan.

We sometimes get a few riding days in November but once they start putting salt on the roads my riding season is over.
And sometimes we get an early spring in mid-to-late April but I wait for the rains to wash the salt off of the roads before I start riding.

Next week I'll fill her up with fresh fuel and perhaps a touch of stabilizer, change the fluids, and try to get the last coast of wax and chrome polish on the wheels before I put her on the lift and kook up the battery tender.
