My clutch ( Not 2014 )
I went to Sturgis this year and camped on the east side of town. As anyone who has been there will know, Lazelle St. is bumper to bumper. So while I'm on Lazelle St. I have the clutch in most of the time. Normally, I put it in neutral, but there as soon as you do the traffic moves up a bike length. By the time I reached the other side of town my clutch felt weird and still does. Not as grabby and the clutch handle works easier. I find it hard to believe that 10 blocks burned up my clutch.
It still works, just feels alot different. I rode it home and am still riding it. I changed the fluids before and after the trip and tried re-adjusting it, but no difference. I will say there was a little more metal dust on the magnet for the primary.
So does anyone know what happened? Thanks for any advice.

Sounds like you toasted/glazed the clutch plates and may have warped a couple of the steel plates. We went that scenario ( stop and go in front of the speedway) one time in Daytona. When we hit Lazelle congestion we went right to Main, parked the bikes and set off on foot.

Thanks for the response. I guess I'll deal with it till it's totally shot. It still works now at least.
