LED headlamp question/advice
I was looking at these, and wondering if they are worth the money.
http://www.harleyhids.com/
The Daymakers are pretty damn expensive. Not trying to be a cheap-***, just on a bit of a budget. Don't really have a lot of knowledge of LEDs.
Can someone offer some links or advice?
BTW, it's for a RK and a Fatboy. Looking for headlamps and passing lamps.

do a search for LED head lights, try Truck Light as a search
I have the Truck lights on both of my Electra Glides -- both the head and passing -- I love them -- the light is awesome -- some say they don't see the corners well with them, well I am a mountain dweller with a wide variance of curve radius's -- and I have no trouble seeing edge to edge
I got the set of 3 head, and 2 passing lamps for 322 during Christmas from Eastern Performance --

discount fleet supply has the trucklight head and passing lamps for 350 right now.
you'll need to supply the passing lamp housing/bracket.
personally i'd take a nice led over HID. both are pretty darn bright. but from a power draw and longevity perspective im a fan of leds.
theres a bunch of threads that demonstrate the various led lights and how their light patterns are.

Have a look at my recent thread, just fitted Trucklite with LED riding light bulbs and saved a whole bunch of money:

I bought my set through Discount Fleet Supply also; about 340 bucks for all three lamps with free shipping. Completely plug and play. Here's the link...

A little late since you already made an order but I would have gotten the Truck Lite but when I got my LED, I was told they didn't make a 5" version that would fit on my Blackline.

$340 for the main headlight & two passing lamps? That doesn't sound too bad.
Just to compare, what does the HD daymaker cost? Do they have passing lamp replacements also?
I spent money on a BAL-1 to make my rear end more visible, might as well do the same for the front end. After all, the worst close-call I've had was a taxi that did a left turn as he was coming at me in the opposite direction. Of course, he "didn't see me".

Eastern Performance had the best price for the Phase 7 Headlight and Spots and I love the light output. All three lights were cheaper than 1 HD Daymaker headlight. The only down fall to the Phase 7 is they stick out from the stock ring so you might want to consider using the french rings or the Visor rings to hide the exposed light.
