Starting to miss it a little.

Starting to miss it a little.
OK, more than a little.
As those that know me are aware, I sold my beloved 2005 Springer Classic a few months ago and bought a different brand. I had no issues with my Springer. In fact, it was the most dependable and maintenance free bike I have ever owned.
Having ridden it over 76,000 miles in all types of weather and road conditions all over north America, it and I had a history but I was just becoming bored with riding on the blacktop and wanted something different.
That having been said, I must admit that I am starting to miss my Harley a bit. Having owned Harelys for over 44 years it became a part of who I am and I just feel like that part is missing now.
So, I have started looking for a replacement. Not sure exactly what I want to end up with but I am leaning towards an early Evo or maybe even a Shovel. I cannot afford a Knuck or a Flathead even though one of either is what I would really like to have.
Don't know when it's gonna happen but it's becoming obvious that it is going to happen.

I have seen some good deals on early evos this winter. Everybody want the later evos. Some decent prices on shovels also.
There is an 87 FXR in the HD classifieds for $4800.

And this one just listed this week, 98 FXDS-Conv only 26K miles for $5995.

And this Shovel 80/80:

This one has been listed for a while, not sure why these are so cheap. Have seen several on ebay for around $5k. 1993 Dyna Wide Glide Anniversary 26k miles $4200 in TX:

Wow dude! That really sucks! A lot of the riders I met when I got into Harley's had a history as you say with their Harley that went so deep sometimes it would move them to tears. Their feelings towards their bike had nothing to do with performance or luxury but just the history and connection they had with it. It is pretty awesome to have that type of connection with a motorcycle. I know you can never replace what you sold but I hope you can find something else that you can have that type of connection with.

A Ural Gear Up and I'm loving it. Totally different animal from a Harley though. I have no desire to lose the Ural. It's just that H-D is so ingrained in me that I do miss having one. Has nothing to do with anything other than I just like them and always have.
