Anyone have anything good or bad to say about Rush Slip-on's? I wanna get a little "throatier" sound out of my Street Bob.....

Thanks!

Rush Mufflers and systems are a great product and the warranty and service provided by them is second to none.

The sound is great but your better off with a full exhaust..not much mire to do it right.

That would depend greatly on the "system" chosen. A lot of full systems actually hurt performance. Now if we are talking a quality 2-1, thats a different story. Most 2-2's are pretty and sound good, but don't really increase performance.

Not at all ... A lot of satisfaction to be had with a set of slip on's ... Don't let the nay sayers sway your opinion .... "Rumble on Brother"

I have Rush cans on my FB with no cat and have been completely satisfied with the fit, appearance, and performance of the muffs. I'm using the 1.75" which give plenty of 'throaty' sound while still being 'socially acceptable.' If you're still running the cat in your system you will prob have to use the 2.00" or even the 2.25" to get the sound level you're after - check with Rush for their recommendation.

And from my research when I was going through this, a full exhaust is significantly more $$$ than just slip on's. To the tune of about double. I wound up going w/ V/H straightshot SO's, but Rush was my 2nd choice. They sounded a bit too tinny for me but were still a decent sound. Probably the best I heard were the Rinehart's but cost is high as is the sound. For me the V/H were a decent middle ground. Oh yeah, and I did add the quiet baffles to smooth it out a bit.

Check the parts for sale thread. Myself and others have RUSH slip ons for sale. I liked the way they sounded.

Hubby and I have had Rush slip-ons on several of our bikes and both have always loved the sound and always gotten compliments. Right now I have V&H short shots on my bike because that's what it came with. Frankly, although they are LOUD, I think the sound is a bit .... harsh ... compared to the Rush.

Only problem we ever had was on one bike my husband had the black pipes and noticed they started to show a little rust. But he traded the bike so never dealt with it, lol.
