Default Re packing baffles

I have Screamin Eagle II mufflers. I want to repack them to tone it down just a bit. There are 2 bolts on each muffler. They should just slide right out. They are really in there. Is there a procedure or tool I can use to get them out without doing any damage to either the muffler or the baffle?

I am not sure, but I thought SE mufflers has Steel baffles, NO repacking them if so.??

My Rush muffs has the packing material around the baffles and I've redone my twice in 7yrs..
Also the Quiet baffle's from V&H's have packing around them and should be done every so often.

I just removed/repacked my old baffles on my powermaster slip-ons. I used SS bailing wire to hold packing material in place, then I wrapped it all with muffler wrap. I think it should hold together now. My baffles are held in with one nut and bolt on the bottom rear of the muffler. I had to remove the muffler and tap out the baffles with a wooden block (2x2 piece of wood). Can be a PITA, but it knocks out the harsh tones when riding distance. Good luck.

I had some SEII mufflers on a sporty and I took the mufflers off the bike and knocked the baffles out. It was easier and faster than pulling the baffles out with pliers because the baffles were in there tight.
