Help 'n hands
I just found my International Help 'N Hands card and pin. I forgot all about it.
Is it still in existance or defunct. I remember it was very big back in the 70's. Much better then roadside assistance in my opinion.

BMW owners publish a soft cover directory of volunteers who offer to do stuff like this.
Is that what Help N Hands did/does?
q c - camping or tent space
q b - sheltered bedroll space
q r - spare room
q d - will travel to help depending
on situation and time
q ws - space to work on motorcycle
q ss - storage space
q wt - working tools
q p - some parts available
q t - truck or trailer available
q m - mechanical help offered
q e - services emergency only,
excluding kk
q kk - coffee & conversation
q sp - special BMW interest

Pretty much. It was suppose to render aid of any kind for a member in your area.
There was no book, but an 800 number to call. It cost nothing. To be a member all you had to do was offer the same type of help for someone that needed it in your area.
I haven't heard a word on it for years, so I'm thinking it's no longer alive. Maybe roadside assistance offered by car mfg., insurance co's., etc. has replaced it.

The BMW "anonymous" is a small book fits in a saddle bag..handy to have if you break down. A new directory is published every year.
Does HOG publish a book like this?
Info about it here..
