Default Leather VS. Vinyl Seats

What do you run? Pros and cons...

Thanks. I'm upgrading and don't know if 50 bucks is worth it. Or if gel is a good option.

All I know is that after having a bunch of vinyl seats, I went with leather and I am never going back. To me, if a seat needs gel, it isn't well made to begin with. I imagine others will swear by gel, but I've had seats that were very comfortable on day long rides and didn't need gel to satisfy by backside.

Leather for me. Same in the car and the Jeep. I'm not a big fan of vinyl.

I will never buy another vinyl seat. Leather only for me from now on. Oh and I've tried gel,and I don't care for it at all.

My Mustang is vinyl. I also have an Road Zeppelin air pad for long trips. It's the same as the Air Hawk R. I can adjust it on the fly.

The pros to vinyl is it's more weather resistant and durable than leather. It's also more cost effective. It also retains it shape better than leather in the long run.

The biggest con of vinyl is that it's not as breathable as leather. With the Road Zeppelin it's not an issue for me. Some leather seats may look better than vinyl.

I could remove my seat entirely and sit on my Air Hawk and be just fine

I'd like leather but my bike sits outside, rain or shine. Vinyl is more durable and easy to maintain for those reasons.

Vinyl is just fine for me. I don't know of that many seats that are leather. Except for my vehicles I want leather.

So... Potential to become mis-shapen? Has anyone with the leather seats experienced this?

I aim to ride in all weather, snow (light) to sunshine, now I'm worried the leather may not hold up as well over time...
