My first mods. I'm screwed
I do more lurking than posting but I want to give a shout out to the many absolutely awesome and patient members on this site. Spent the long winter trying to decide what bike I wanted to buy. Member threads helped me to decide on the Breakout. I had no intentions to do anything to the bike for a year or so. It's a short 5 weeks later, well, I just finished installing VH BR pipes, Heavy Breather and did my first tune with the new VH FP3 yesterday. I know its just a few bolts here and a little locktite there and ho-hum to a lot of you but all of the info on the mods--from reviews, install advice, where to buy, etc--came from the members of this site. I learned a lot, enjoyed the heck out of it and saved some cash, best of all I didn't scratch any paint or screw-up anything. My most anxious moment was when I walked into my shop Saturday morning and the cat was on the seat. Needless to say, that drove me to call an immediate family meeting.
So, just wanted to say thanks from a new HD guy. Now, I'm thinking about whats next. guessing this is how it all works from this point forward. screwed in a good way.
and btw, I want to give a thumbs up to Kutters too for great pricing, shipping and awesome service on my order.

I know. My shop is usually off limits but we've been letting our 14 yr old dog in during the cold nights this winter. somehow the wife let the cat "sneak" in when she fed it the other night. she is now re-calibrated.

This is a great site. With the one big exception that this forum will ultimately end up costing you more than you save. There are so many "must haves" to keep your pockets empty. Which is why doing all your own work is the best option. Saving all those labor costs just leaves you more money for mods, accessories and trinkets for the scoot.
Nice bike.
