Default Dumb question of the day.

Ok, so I'll be moving to San Diego in a few months and decided I should get a leather vest as opposed to a full jacket due to the weather being so nice. At least a vest will afford me a little protection. But I read somewhere on some forum at some point something about vests and collars. I don't want to step on any mC's toes around the area so are collars a yay or nay? Or does it not. Matter and I'm just being a dumb newb. I'm just not trying to get put in any situations that could easily be avoided.

Walk lightly and carry a big stick. Wear what you like it, it's America.

Only thing I know about collars...

When riding (35mph +), they beat the heck outa yer neck. Tucking them under, will help for about 5 seconds. Pin 'em down, with some cool anti-social biker themed pins, and the MCs will flock around you, with praise and offers for you to join their club...

Live long, and have fun, even if yer gettin yer *** kicked by bad *** bikers!

If you want a vest, get a vest, but skip the collar. I have one without a collar. As was mentioned before, they can beat the heck out of you unless they are fastened down.
