2006 dyna low rider
My dealer has a 2006 low rider with 15000 miles for 9400$. I did some research on that year and model, and apparently there is an issue with the stator and also the inner primary bearings. Since the IPB is supposed to be replaced at 15000miles, should the dealership do the work on these two issues free of charge. I talked to the salesman, and he said they do a full inspection of all used bikes before selling them. I have no idea what that means!! Any info from you low rider owners especially those with 2006 would be greatly appreciated. Also, does the price seem a little high for an 8 year old bike?
Thank you

Good luck with the Dealer doing the work free of charge. They way they see it if you don't buy it someone else will and they can hit him with the bill.
Seems a bit high but being it's a Dealership they can get it. If it doesn't have a 6 speed I'd go the next year up it's money well spent in my view.

You are right, "full inspection" is meaningless.
Preventative repairs ain't happening either.
Have you looked at Cycle Trader?

That price is way high...add tax & DBC's (Dealer Bullshit Charges) on top of that, and you can do MUCH better privately. Plus--'05 & '06 were bastard years for Dynas. Certain parts, like seats, will only fit those years.

I appreciate all the responses. The bike is a 6 speed. I think 06 was the first year with a 6th gear and the last with the 88. I cant believe that the dealership would not do the work. There was recall on those bikes in 06 that specified that the IPB be replaced free of charge at 15000 miles. That was later discontinued.Oh well, I guess I will keep looking. Do you all think the early or later models are more solid?
Thank you
