I've been gone for a year , had a gallon of old gas in the tank , was concerned it might be a problem . It's a non fuel injected 1999 fxdl dyna lowrider with the 88 cubic inch , 24,000 miles . The battery was trickle charged as the year went on by my friend . I added 1 gallon of premium gas , and it fired right up . I guess I am lucky , but it runs fine .

I've been using the Starbrite ethanol treatment, find it a more user friendly claims it can't be over mixed. I've used Stabil in the past with no problems. Either one when used at every gas fill will help on your sudden departures.
