Default My turn at stupidity.

You ever lose your billfold while riding and spend two and a half hours walking up and down the part of road you KNOW you lost it at? Just got home from that. Lost it within the first couple of miles. Been trudging up and down a hill with muddy shoulders. Even had a family stop and help along with several other folks stopping to check on me. Lots of good people here. Finally gave up and came home. There that SOB sits, on the couch where I left it.

Think I may buy a chain for it.

Sorry...had to laugh. I always put my wallet in the inside breast pocket of my jacket. Even then I'm always touching it to make sure it's still there.

Sorry for your wasted time. But Thanks for the post. I needed a really good laugh.

Been there done that, so it's even funnier to me...now.

I lost one for real on an Iron Butt ride.

Lost 2 credit cards, drivers license, concealed carry permit and $500 in cash.
No one ever returned it. I'm sure the $500 cash found a home.

1975 I took my life savings ($200) and was headed from Clarksville, TN to LA, CA and in a hurry (nuff said). I was on a 52 pan just west of Memphis around 2200 and I felt something tugging on my belt loop, had a truckers wallet. I reach back and it was the wallet and wide open. I had forgot to button it back up at last gas stop. I pull over and it was totally empty. Look up and see $20 bills flying in truckers headlights. Ended up finding drivers license and $80 just by using traffic headlights. Continued own to CA. Slept on rest area picnic tables and lived on candy bars and cokes. Most of the $$ went for gas and oil.

Thanks for the laugh... at your expense Lol

Had a friend leave the bar to go out and grab his smokes. Gets out to his old Ford truck and no keys, thinking he must have locked them inside he brakes out his wing window, still no keys. He comes back inside and their sitting by his beer. Priceless!

I usually put my wallet in my front pocket but that gets somewhat uncomfortable after a while.

I'm seriously considering a short chain for my wallet. Not for the cool biker dude factor, but really just to avoid losing my wallet.

I'm told that stuff happens more frequently as you get older.
