Default 2014 Road King Sissy bar and Vibration Issues

I recently bought a 2014 RK. Love it. Wife doesn't... Yet. I an looking to get a sissybar about 6" taller than the stock quick detach. Wife is also complaining of vibration in the floor boards. Now after her first ride I installed the Screaming Eagle Street Cannon exhaust. I will also be getting rid of the floor board and installing footpegs. She prefers the foot pegs and there's a couple options there. Any thoughts on the vibration issue and anyone know where I can get a taller sissybar?

Welcome to the forums. Try the Touring side for more info https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touring-models-11/

A few things.... I don't think the '14 RKs come with a passenger backrest, so if yours did, it's likely a dealer install. If you don't like it, take it back to the dealer and exchange it. HD makes several different sizes and styles to chose from.

Floorboards will have substantially less felt vibration than footpegs. The HD ones that are stock on the bike have rubber inserts that absorb a lot of the vibration.

And it's a Harley, it vibrates. That's the best part. Enjoy it.

Wife loves the new 2014 Road King. Seat is more comfortable and a tad wider for her, and with the redesigned rear bag guard, she is happy, happy, happy. Didn't mention anything about vibration in the footboards. This bike rides a lot smoother than the 96" 2011 we had.

So she's OK with the stealth purchase then?
