Default Rest in peace Brie...

A early 20's girl that is a part of my wife's woman's precision riding team died today.

She was on her 883 Low headed to work. She never wore a helmet. The witness that was directly behind her said she had one hand off the bars and drifted into the guard rail, bouncing off into a high speed wobble. The bike flipped slamming her face first into the pavement then having the bike hit her twice as they both rolled. She died at the scene. Cops found a Harley travel mug off the side and she did have a cup holder on the left controls.

Being guilty of dicking with my own coffee on numerous occasions, I guess the only reason I'm posting is to remind us all that as much as we get on the cagers for not paying attention, it's a damn shame to lose one of our own for not paying attention.

R.I.P.

That really sucks. Early 20's is way too young to go.

Condolences to your, and her, families. Perhaps we could all see a "lesson" in this sad event...

RIP. I am very sorry to hear about the loss of your friend and a rider so young.

It's a very stark reminder to always respect the bike. If you don't control it, it will control you.

Perhaps a helmet could have helped here, but perhaps not. I wish that had at least been part of the equation.
