Default Saddlebag Locks....

I want to put some saddlebags on my Super Glide Custom, and don't like the idea that they can't be locked other than buying the hard bags that have locks built in.

Is there a soft saddlebag out there that have locks on them or can be locked?

Well, there's soft bag locks. I've seen them at dealerships but I don't know how much they are or if you can get them at other places like Amazon or online stores. But there are soft bag locks.

I don't think I've ever seen lockable soft bags. I'm curious if anyone chimes in with a yes

Problem with soft bag locks is that they will only keep your best friend honest. Anyone else will simply slice your straps with a boxcutter.

I never lock my bags because there is never anything in the bags that is worth more than the bags, themselves.

Unless you find something (try an internet search) you may try making something yourself. Myself I rarely lock my bags as I usually have my bike in sight. Staying in a hotel is a different but in such a case saddlebags can go in with you.

This guy has a set with locks, granted he made them himself.

I've recently gotten into leather working and thinking of making a set of saddlebags myself. Design I'm playing around with would be a Kydex box with leather laminated to it to give the look of leather with the rigidity of Kydex.

Agree dont have saddlebags but do have a battery bag. If someone wants in it, they can get it in. A lock will only keep an honest person out and they are not going in, in the first place. I use to use a helmet lock but more hassle than it is worth. If they want the helmet they will take that too. Heck they will take the bike too.

I've had the Harley locks on my Heritage for a few years now, keyed the same as my ignition.
