Default Dumped my Ultra last week.

I've been riding accident-free since '78. My wife and I were riding with a small group the other day, went through a roundabout, and some kind soul had spilled a streak of very clear oil right in the line I had chosen. Down went my '09 CVO Ultra, dumping us, and skidding about 20 feet on its crash bars. Between the bars and the overtilt switch killing the engine, I sustained VERY little damage. Small scuff on underside of lower, and both crash bars. I'm replacing the crash bars, and calling it a day. Both of us got a couple little nicks and scratches, but overall, not bad at all!

Glad you're both OK. Bikes can be repaired or replaced. Bones and tissue are never quite the same. 35 years is a long time to ride a motorcycle without some kind of an accident. You must be a safe, skillful, and lucky rider. How's that old saying go? "There are two kinds of riders. Those who have been down, and those who are going to go down." Hope you have another 35 years of safe riding!

Good to know you two weren't seriously hurt. I wonder who'll clean up the oil?

Those touring bikes are built to be dropped. I had a similar slide last year. Same amount of damage. Glad to hear you two are ok.
