I had a friend that did the maintenance at a mall in Clearwater ,Fl.They had a problem with hawks and pigeons being in places that they shouldn't be, the way he got them all to move was putting mothballs in these areas and they all moved on ..

My co-workers said that, but...

1. Won't it start to melt from the engine heat?
2. What's to stop the Hawk from thinking the cover is now its new lunch?

1 - Get a quality cover
2 - Would you rather the bird crap and chew on your cover or your bike?

Im with Deucedog. I think the balloon will keep it off your bike due to the movement and definately cleaner than the cat idea.

I'd just live with it. There was a guy on here a couple of years ago that was camping up in the mountains and a black bear scratched his tank and took a chomp out of his windshield. He left the damage just the way it was. Makes for a cool story.....

Big fat rubber snake on the handlebars.
It'll either scare him or he'll eat it. If he eats he'll be too constipated to fly.
Good luck.

Drainage gate in a motorcycle parking space ?
For cars:What about those suction-cup things with spinners that boaters place on their boats to keep birds off.
For you : an inexpensive Walmart or cycle gear cover for under $25..They pack well and would keep people from sitting on it.
There is another option of a shade like item called a cycle shade but i think they are a bit pricey..could probably make one for about $10
