There are lots of options you can buy to fix this. If you want to get creative and fix it yourself a few strips of 1" aluminum flat stock, a drill and a rivet gun can do wonders to keep the shape of the bags. I saw a customers bike with this done and it made the top of the bag, not the lid, rigid and kept the bags shape. When the lid was closed you couldn't see the rivets at all and the old bags looked pretty good.
