Default Removing sissy bar/saddlebag mounts

So I went to remove the sissy bar and saddlebag mounts that the previous owner had put on my '04 XL1200C.

It seems like the long bolts mounting the saddlebag rails to the fender strut have been put in backwards... so they can't be removed due to them hitting the tire inside the rear fender.

My jack won't fit under the bike, it's been lowered very slightly but the exhaust bracket extends past the bottom of the frame, making it impossible to seat the jack properly.

Any ideas??

Take the exhaust off. Sometimes you just gotta do stuff!
