loctite or not?

loctite or not?
So I'm finally starting to get the top end on my 04 Sportster 1200
back together and I have a quick question.
I'm getting everything ready for re assemble and I was going over the Manual and no where that I see does it say to use Loctite on any bolts!
But looking at some of the bolts that I have removed it appears that it has Loctite on them... do I or don't I? I would think yes and if so what color for the top end bolts?
oh yea, I did a search but nothing jumped out at me...
Thanks

While you're waiting for someone who knows what they're talking about, I'll chime in .
I'd stick with "Blue" if it were me. "Red" generally requires the application of heat, with a torch, to get it to release. This it does quite nicely with a little puff of smoke then the bolt is easy to remove. Don't think you want this.

There are only two bolts on the Harley engine that require Red loctite and they are in the cam chest (Cam sprocket and secondary sprocket bolts ). As a general rule the two breather bolts (two per cylinder) and rocker cover screws all require a drop of blue loctite on the threads. At least that's what my manual stated.
