hi guys i have just brought my first harley iron 883 2015 and added SE mufflers and they sound like ****. even jap bike sound louder than that.
is there is any way to make it louder.

and for any one who is planning to put SE on iron 2015 please dont stock sound much better than.

 

Screamin' Eagle slipons are 50 state legal with the stock air cleaner. That means they still have catalytic converters inside, and they meet maximum noise level standards.

What they're for is to allow you to get as much power and as much higher volume as you can, while still being 100% legal. You can add an air cleaner and a tune and you'll get more power and no longer be legal, but it won't get any louder.

You could always start drilling holes through them, but then you couldn't sell 'em.

Personally, I'd take them off while they're still nice and shiny new, put aftermarket mufflers on, and sell the Screamin' Eagles on Craigslist.

 

Ooops, just noticed you're not in the States. I can't speak to the air pollution laws in NZ, but you already know about the volume. A little louder than stock, but not by much.

 

yep in nz they dont really care abt noise so its ok but i realy need loud.wr should i drill holes

 

That is not something I would personally recommend. I'd wait until another member with more experience on '15 Sportster mufflers checks in.
