SE tuner and VE table question

SE tuner and VE table question
I have the SE Street Tuner. Not the SE Pro Tuner. I have a Stage 1 2014 Softail using HD air cleaner and HD mufflers. The Street Tuner does allow you to change the VE tables. The question is this. If I change the VE tables to richen up the closed loop portion of the map table do the changes stay put. Or does the adaptive learning reset them? Thanks.

I believe you have a bike that uses the Lambda scale. So, with respect to differences in fuel, most of today's fuels have a stoichiometric AFR varying from 14.28 to 14.68. Because your bike uses the Lambda scale, it can control how complete the combustion is regardless of the AFR value.
So, unless you have some very special blend or needs for performance outside normal operating boundaries, setting the VE's correctly and then allowing the bike's ECM to function, you should be set.
Now there are some scenarios that might call for changing the VE's manually but until one has a decent understanding as to why and what that might affect in the other tables, it might be best to allow the system to work.
Here's a link to the TTS Tuning Guide that might be informative.
Hope that helps!

Good!
But read the guide slowly. It seems overwhelming at first but remember everything builds on itself. There are normally a few "light bulb" moments along the way. It, IMHO, really becomes interesting once the basics are understood.
And once you grasp the basics, it's cool just how the system works and how "easy" it is to have even a completely stock bike perform much better.
