I need a little help here, a buddy of mine put a cobra 2000 on his 2013, ultra, (pretty much stock), says it will tune his bike automatically, I have a 2010 Street Glide with a Thundermax, I've had many updates to my bike, cams, heads, cylinders, TB, and injectors along with the normal things one has done when the bike is upgraded, here is my question, he says I won't need a dyno with the Cobra, my bike builder says, I need a dyno even with the Thundermax! is the Cobra that superior of a ECM that it will do the tuning automatically? I've been on here a long time, I know my TM but I don't know anything about the Cobra.
From what I've read the Cobra is just an add-on to the stock ECM vs. the Thundermax is a stand alone unit. He says If I had a Cobra instead of the TM, I wouldn't need a tune! Really?
