Default Is the ignition on a carborated sportster the same as fuel injected?

Hi. I have a 97 sportster that is carborated. I wanted to put an ignition coil on it from a newer fuel injected one. Does anyone know if they operate the same or if you can buy a retrofit kit or what I should do.

FI coils are single fire, different wiring/resistance than the carb coils. Not interchangeable.
