Default Wideband O2 sensor problem

Hi,

I have a problem with rear wideband O2 sensor. Before starting the bike CLI, WBO2 (ratio) and WBO2 (lambda) shows the same numbers (100, 17.90 and 1.226). After starting the bike numbers for front cylinder start to change but numbers for rear cylinder stay the same. When I shut the bike down numbers for front cylinder stop changing but for rear cylinder start to change (it lasts for about 2 seconds) and then stop. When I ride numbers for rear cylinder are the same for most of the time (but sometimes they change for a while). Is it a failing sensor?

Can't you swap the sensors and see it you get the same results?

What's your setup? Are you using Target Tune?

I swapped the sensors and readings are wrong for front cylinder now so it looks like a bad sensor. I have a Target Tune for 2 years now. Never thought sensor will fail that quickly. I ordered a new one (part number bosch 0 258 987 001 if someone will have the same problem)...

wideband sensors like those used on the dyno jet target tune, auto tune--pro, do not have the same life expectancy of the stock narrow band sensors, just my experience. once the bike is in tune they might last a bit longer......

Maybe you would be better off taking it in and have it professionally tuned. Pro tuners have some extra tools to get the job done that the DYI guys dont have.
