Hi! I have a new SERT and the cables that came with it. One cable goes from the ECM to the SERT dongle. The other cable goes from the SERT dongle to a serial connector. I bought a new serial to USB cable, but won't work with the SERT. I even installed the software that came with this serial to UBS cable. Does anyone know which serial to USB cable will work? I thought a cable was a cable, but I was wrong. Thanks for any input!

 

There are hundreds of USB to serial cable converters and they are not the same at all. We have a kit for it that works but since you have the other cables already I would talk with some others here that have bought a converter that works. If you search the threads I'm sure you can find a few post for different models here on the site.
