Okay Oh Great Tuning Wizards. Posting this now because when I get home from work tonight at 12:30 I'm guessing most normal folks will be asleep. First, great thread! I'm around 50 pages worth of posts deep and starting to go blind but awesome info. Looking to do this one step at a time so this question, as I'm sure there will be many more to follow as I'm COMPLETELY new to tuning, is my first.
Which base canned map should I look for when I hook up the tuner? The tuner is is the SEPST 32109-08C. My set-up is....2011 Road Glide Custom, 103" engine, SE Stage 1 A/C, de-catted head pipe, Klock Werks SS short slip-ons. If it helps, the slip-ons are 28" long with a 2" helically cut louvered baffle. Everything else, heads, pistons, cams, etc., are all stock. Thanks in advance for your help and input.

Im no tuning wizard, but one piece of advice i can give u is, after u pick ur base map- just pick the closest match to ur hardware- make sure you do the smart tuning to get ur VE tables changing by less than 5% BEFORE u touch anything else on the map. I learnt the hard way and had to start over. Good luck!! This link should help you out!

when you load the software (now it is download the software) it should install a calibration description list of all available maps. you then go through the list until you find your ride.
alternately you open the software, click on tuning fork and fill in the left side as best you can. (I am amused the first one asks for your ECM model), fill in the spots you can and a list of possible maps appear. go through them and use description which comes closest. (i.e. you would not choose one designed for an SE260 cam unless you have one)

Both the above methods should point you to 044AAO003

Flashed the ECM last night. It did in fact lead me to that map using the second method of inputting my bikes parameters. Took it for a ride today and must say that for a canned map it isn't bad. Some very slight decel pop at full rolloff. Can't wait to see what some fine tuning is going to do for her. She's likely to run like a raped ape by the time it's all said and done.

Question, if I change to basic mode do I lose the current info in advanced mode?

Gotta hate that pooping.

save the current map so you can go back to it in any event. you would only lose any change not saved, if at all switching back and forth. But why would you want to go basic anyway.
