1988 sportster 883 no spark, inspect my ignition sensor and rotor (pics)
So i was experiencing weak spark, which eventually turned into no spark. replaced the ignition coil..still no luck. Decided to open up the ignition cover on the lower right hand side. found that the seal was not seated properly and was wet. Lots of moisture inside and everything seems very corroded.
My questions are, would a corroded rotor affect spark? how can i test my ignition sensor? I found another thread where a user had a broken rotor trigger, i havent had mine apart to check in fear of the bolt breaking since its so rusty (i broke one of the sensor plate screws already #6, that should be fun to extract). The third pic is from that other user with his broken rotor just for reference.
Thanks in advance for all the input!
