My Ironhead chopper is nearing completion
Hey y'all. I have been working on this ironhead hardtail and it's finally near completion. Not sure if this is the place to ask or not, but I have never liked sportster tin, so when a local shop had a customer unexpectedly bail on a custom paintjob on softail trim, they kept it and sold it to me at a deep discount.
Anyway, the tanks weren't hard to install at all, and the front fender fits I just need to make some kind of bracket so all four bolts will go into it. The problem is mounting the rear fender. I have a solo seat so I have a lot of real estate on the frame to work with. I was wondering if anyone else had ever tried this. I'm guessing my choices would be brackets that bolt to the fender and a fender strut under the back that bolts to the rear axle, or welded struts, either standard softail inner struts or custom fabricated ones.
