Default Strut Spacers

Ok fellas, I am widening my rear end on my 92 Softail Custom. I ordered my fender but the fender that i ordered is wider then the struts. I spoke to the company that is making the fender they said something about using strut spacers. I have never heard of anything like that. Everything that i have been reading is saying that i am going to have to cut the struts and just use the bolt on ones. Any one have any suggestions/ideas? THANKS

They make strut spacers, but they are for fine tuning the width of the bolt on type struts...if you are going wide on a 92...the frame struts have to go bye bye...or you can cut them off, and weld them back on the correct distance apart.
