Default Tear Down and Rebuild of the IH

So it seems like on every other forum I see threads of people rebuilding their ironheads and taking pictures of it for everyone to keep track of.

Just so happens that at the moment I am stripping mine completely down and sandblasting everything I can and re-painting everything. The bikes previous paint job, although it was done good at the time, has past it's prime.

So the first set of pictures are of what I have gotten apart so far. Over the next few days the rest of it shall be completely stripped. I will upload pictures when I can.

yah the motor is coming out and being stripped and re-painted a flat black. It will in hopes show off any chrome as best it can.

My goal is to try and take as many pictures as I can so people can have a reference if they need to do a rebuild on theirs.

Looking forward to the progress. Don't forget to cut those zip ties when it goes back together.

I'm working on the bike guys. Got the transmission out on Sunday and found my first gear's gear had a broken tooth. I will post pictures tonight when I get home.

I've had to take a break for a day or two though because my contacts gave me an infection in one eye and I can't see a dang thing.
