Like the clutch basket, I think these hubs are very forgiving as they went unchanged for many years. Just want my wheels to be working as they should.

John, not sure why they're calling that an aftermarket hub????? The pic / hub diagram I sent you is from the original service manual that has followed the bike throughout it's life. Look at the part #'s, they are the very early ones.

Six guns, I would love the part, thank you. That front hub just had a washer in there and I don't think it was thick enough. There was far too much lateral slop going on. Spec is for approx. .003-.005 That amount is hard to detect without a dial indicator. I probably had 10x that and I'm guessing it has to do with the washer in it's place. I would need to put in like 20+ shims. Shooting you a PM.

Got the part, thanks a lot. The rebuild went good, I ordered shims from Good Old M.C. Parts Co. Bob not only had the .002 shims but .007 & .015. I used the .015 and 2 or 3 .002's. He recommended allowing a .005-.008 lateral tolerance as the .003-.005 is pretty skinny, in his opinion. Arrived at .008, made sure it had lots of grease and went for a much needed ride. Nice feeling to know both hubs and the brakes are lookin good. Thanks again!
