+1 on Progressive They lowball to get you to switch to them and then drop the hammer the next year. For me; no tickets, no accidents, no claims and my insurance went from $456 yr and then at renewal time $1337 ! Bye bye Flo ! ! ! ! !

Prior to that I had been w/progressive for over 12 years, usually multiple bikes, never had a claim. In 2013 they doubled my rates (my credit score is always over 800), my agent has two bikes also and saw it coming hooked me up w/Dairyland at the above rate.

That's why without the bike info in all of the posts, the data is not of much value.
Fixed it for you, I personally didn't include it as it is in my signature.

Wow, I have Progressive. Just bought my 08, full coverage, $500 deductible. I have a DUI on my record and my premium is $325/yr.

Progressive done me the same? Went online got a quote and hit the pay button, when I did it tripled in price ! Good record on speed ticket last year! Called State Farm who I have the cage through and a desent premium ? Matter of fact 450.00 less than progressive, always always shop around! I am told that every six months they review your policy? That is when they try to raise your rate, like you will not notice!!!

That's the problem with 6 month policies. They get to raise it twice a year.

Here in New York there are a ton of minimum requirements to insure any vehicle. I remember taking a few hours calling and getting quotes from every insurance company I could think of. Comparing the policies and ensuring I had the same coverages, NATIONWIDE was able to get me the best rate. I currently have Geico for my truck and they couldn't even come close to what I got.

Looking through the posts, I feel like I'm one of the only ones that have them so I had to chime in with my 2¢.

Vote for GEICO on the bike here---Allstate who I have my cars and house with was twice as much. I had them for about 10 days while I shopped around after buying the bike initially. And the online quote I got from progressive was similar rates as Allstate. So I went with GEICO their online Quote was about half of the Allstate and Progressive. It really does pay to shop around--my bike policy is for 1 year so in about 11 months ill be shopping around again. Need to look around and each rider/bike can vary. But Shop around every renewel. My advice. Like every one else--LOL
Ride Safe!
