Who has the rock bottom lowest insurance?
Mine ( Progressive) just went from 500-700 for a year.

I just switched mine earlier this month from Progressive after 8 years with them and moved to Markel, exact same bodily injury/property damage/uninsured motorist coverage with an even higher medical coverage than I had for a fair amount less than Flo wanted for a 12 month policy...

Careful when comparing. Sometimes cheap is expensive.

My 2009 insurance was $414 last year. Haven't got my bill for this year (July) but will be around that amount.

Nobody and everybody. No one company will be be the best for everyone. Just get as many quotes as you can stand and pick one. Way too many variables in play to say that Company A is Cheaper than Company B for everyone. Not that simple, unfortunately.

For example I had really good rates on my Suzuki 650, but the quote for my Limited was way higher. I expected it to be somewhat higher but not as much add it was. I looked around and found a company that was much more reasonable, so I switched.

After 13 years with Progressive I dropped them today because they just keep bumping my rate. My current rate is $495.00, after shopping most of the companies I went with Allstate for $344.56. That is for my 2010 Ultra Classic and I do carry higher liability limits than required. When I was shopping for the best price I had my Progressive policy laying in front of me so I was comparing apples to apples. I would like to add the lowest price quote was with Markel at $305.00. I eliminated them because they failed to return my call yesterday after I left two messages.

I had Progressive for four years, paid my premiums in advance, no claims, tickets or accidents. They then tried to double my annual premium. After a phone call and an email to Progressive, I went with Allstate. Better coverage at about my old rate. In my case it helped that I had home and car policies with Allstate. Also found out that my agent rides a Harley.

$279 a year for two bikes from Prog. - down from $288. However...

I have home and auto from MetLife - they don't do bikes, and referred me to Prog. I don't know if that gives me an extra discount. My H&A just went down $75 a year, home, car and truck.

Besides your driving record, your insurance rate is based on your location and your credit rating. Probably better off talking to some of your local riders.
