We have 7 bikes (13 people) planning on going to Laconia for 3-4 days during bike week 2015. Doesn't have to be right in town willing to ride a little to get there. Anyone have any ideas or experiences from past years? Thanks.

 

We booked a cabin about 7 miles away at Oliver Lodge. 5 bedroom 3 bathrooms sounds nice. Now i am really looking forward to going. Gives me something to think about while the bike is parked over the winter.

 

We stay in Maine for the week and usually hit Laconia for a day or 2. The problem with Laconia is it is way too packed versus some of the other rallies which are more spread out. That's why we stay further away in Kennebunk, ME. It is about an hour and a half from Laconia on nice back roads. It is far enough away to get away from the congestion, plus there is tons to see along the Maine coast as well. We'll usually hit Old Orchard for a day, plus spend a day or two at Bentley's in Arundel. Here's where we stay, the cottages are pretty decent and affordable. They can reasonably sleep 5 to 6 (2 or 3 couples):

The cottages are far enough off the road so your bikes are relatively safe. We lock ours anyway because better safe than sorry.
