Hey everyone
Hi everyone. My name's Rob, and I've loved motorcycles since I was a small boy. I rode some friend's bikes throughout the years, and I bought my first brand new Honda Shadow ACE 750 back in 1999. Since then, I've traded it for a brand new Honda Spirit 1200, and I currently ride a 2005 Honda VTX 1300R.
You may be wondering why I'm joining a Harley Davidson Forum, and that's because although I have never actually owned a Harley, I have ridden my Father-in-law's 1975 Super Glide on a few rides and I'm very much looking forward to owning my own Harley just as soon as I can afford to.
Since I have a bike to ride now, I'd really love (at least I "think" that I'd really love) to get some old parts and take my time building/rebuilding my own bike from scratch. I'm not a mechanic, and I can certainly imagine how difficult this will be, but I'm just as certain that when I finally get to ride my own creation, that it will be far more rewarding than simply dropping some cash on a showroom model!
So, wish me luck and feel free to offer any advice.
