"Almost" New Rider in Texas
Hi all!
I say "almost" new rider, cuz I'm still in the oh-my-gawd-I-dropped-it-again stage of learning to ride!
My name is Alice, live in Texas, married nearly 8 years to "Griz" and love to ride. Hubby's been riding 35 years, ('76 shovel; '94 Ultra Classic) and I'm learning on my little 'training wheels'....a Yamaha 650 XS. Now before you throw eggs at the Jap-bike rider....Think about it.....Do you really want me droppin' a Harley????Yep,I have mastered the fine art of dropping my bike. Have thex-ray of the broken rib to prove it!! LOL!
But in my defense, I'm 5'2" with a 26" inseam and the bike was too tall. Hubby's got it lowered now and once we get the new clutch on it, I'm off again! I'll be taking the MSF course after the first of the year, cuz I am ready to ride my own!! And one day, that Yammy will grow up to be a great big Harley!!!
Probably not alot of questions until I'm back on the Yammy, but will "lurk" around till I have something legit to ask. <BG>
Thanks!

RE: "Almost" New Rider in Texas
Howdy and welcome from San Antonio! Sounds like you're getting all the tough stuff, i.e. dropping the bike, out of the way before you get your Harley.
