Back rest helped me a ton. Can ride forever now.

The standard backrest from Harley flips forward if you want, making getting on and off pretty easy.

Invest in a back rest. I had mine transferred to my new bike when I purchased it. I will never own another bike without one, worth EVERY cent. It extends your riding time tremendously.

I've had low back problems for 20 some years. I guess I'm lucky because I can ride as long as I want, in fact sitting on my bike is about the only time it doesn't hurt. Maybe I am grinning so much it's stretching my back a little.

Backrest helps tremendously! I'd never had a backrest before and frankly didn't like the look. But the functionality and comfort makes it gorgeous.

Also, higher bars will help as it puts your arms in a more neutral position. I have 14" Vindiktas, which are the same height as the 12" Yaffe Monkey Bars.

You can see my bars and arm position in my signature pic. I'm a little too close with the stock seat and the wife on the back, but it is a perfect fit when I have the solo seat on as it moved me back about 1.5-2".
