Default New Deticated Hazard Button Got Me Today!

Rode my new 15 SGS to work today in the 30 degree Ohio weather and had to wear gloves. Parked the bike and was about 100 feet away when someone notified me that my lights were blinking.

Went back to the bike and the first thing I do is push both turn signals in and that didn't work. Then I remembered the new hazard button. I'm must not have noticed I hit it with the gloves on.

Has anyone else accidently turned their hazards on? Not a big issue until you accidentally turn them on when you really don't need the attention.

I went to turn them on in heavy fog in pitch black dark of night and hit the kill switch instead!! Next to a semi with what appeared to be a stalled car in front of us! I may have puckered!! Got it going again and all was well but made me think, maybe next to the on/off switch isn't the best place for the hazard switch!!

Yep I accidentally turned mine on the other day at a gas station. I also must have hit the hazard button by mistake. I stood there fooling with how to turn them off by pushing the turn signals but I believe they ultimately turned off when I switched on the ignition to start the bike.

Yep, made a right turn and then wondered my why blinker wasn't going off. A closer look revealed the culprit.

Yep, I've hit the hazard lights a few times by mistake.

When I bought the bike I hit the button and could not get them to turn off. Had to go back inside the dealership(walk of shame) and ASK. i DID NOT KNOW THEY CHANGED THE HAZARD.

*LOL*......... Glad I'm not alone on this one. Did a Poker Charity Run in August. At the midpoint, my 4-ways were flashing when I got off the bike. Must have hit it at the same time I hit the "kill" switch. Embarassing, as I had to get someone to turn them off. Even more embarrasing, was the two Sales guys at the Dealership - neither of them knew how to turn them off! Had a Tech come out to do it, and I think he laughed all the way back inside the Dealership.

You dummies!! Be smart and do it in your garage. Just did it to myself Saturday after a ride. Put the bike in the stand shut it off and hop off. I thought maybe it was the security arming itself. Then the lights kept flashing and I'm like WTF?? I have the key fob in my pocket. Fiddle with ignition and then yep, dawns on me. I hit the 4-way flasher button. Lights go off.

Not a good location. LOL At least I'm part of a club now.

Yep - I did it too. Don't think it's a good place for the button right next to the on/off switch.
