Today I stopped by the local dealer to have them reprogram my aux lights to stay on while the high beams are on, and it got me to thinking: What options are programmable via their tool?
Does anyone know what all can be tweaked using the Harley tool?
I read on this forum that the rear turn signals can be made to act as brake lights as well for those that have a separate tail light. I'm calling my dealer to find out how much they'll charge me.
I did the same thing with the aux. lights. Why they've always set up the baggers so that the aux. lights go off on high beam has never made any sense to me.
My understanding is that the charge is 1/2 hr. labor, regardless of what re-flash/mod you want.

I hope this helps.
I heard this as well.Let us know what you find out.

Down Home HD in Burlington, NC did the aux light thing for me for free when I had it in on one of the clutch recalls.
When I went from stock tail lights on my RK, to SG rear fender / lights, I had to buy the SG fender wire harness and self adhesive rubber conduit. I installed myself and the brake lights didn't work. The dealer had to flash "tell" the BCM that I now have a different set up. charged me $40. But I saved hundreds by doing the work myself.

I've always heard that they do it for free. It's like a 3 second operation here. They did mine for free during the last clutch recall. It's against some state laws (I know it is in Massachusetts) to have the aux lights on with high beams so that's probably why they come out of the dealer that way. My state inspection caught that (and let it go - next year I won't have them on so hopefully he won't notice.)
I wish I could adjust the speedometer - I know the mileage and speed are high. It's annoying.
