Default Known Squeak Points?

My '14 Limited has developed an annoying squeak I believe is coming from up front somewhere. Even more annoying is that I cannot replicate it when it's not moving. . It "rhythmic" squeak, meaning it only happens at a certain RPM of the engine, or a series of bumps that have the right cadence to them. Any known points to investigate or other thoughts (other than turning the radio up)? Thanks

Shoot a drop of oil into the rubber isolators in the exhaust hangers, then go for a ride and see if it's still doing it.

Had to replace my front engine mount stabilizer link at 40K to get rid of an annoying squeak. Thankfully covered under warranty.

Also have had to lube the rubber isolators in the exhaust hangers under the saddle bags several times, mostly after riding in the rain, to get rid of another squeak that was really hard to initially pinpoint.

Thanks for the replies. The front link is interesting, as it sounds like it maybe coming from that general area. I will lube the rubber exhaust isolator just in case, as that's a pretty quick thing to try. Tried the vent before, it's definitely not that. The best thing I can relate the sound to is a truck towing a squeaky landscape-type trailer down the road (if that makes any sense).

I shot WD40 on the front link and it solved my annoying squeek. It took several try's before I got it to go away. Been 6 months or better and still gone. I hit it once in a while with some WD40 and work it back and forth.

I had done the same for temporary relief then had my local dealer look at it when I got home from my trip. Dealer told me it was too loose, so they replaced it.

interesting info, I may try a bit of PB BLaster penetration oil on my front link, that stuff is magic.

Smile Use a Penatating Lubricant

Use a penetrating lubricant spray for squeaks. Do not use WD-40 as it is not a very good lubricant. It is basically a solvent/cleaner. Make sure what you use is safe for rubber and neoprene.
