You do know that those lowers have to stay on, right? There are radiators in them....if it's a Rushmore.

You could just saw through the coolant lines then the radiators wouldn't be hot any more?

Also get a tuner that will cool it off a bit. It's still going to be a bit cooler than the rest of us who don't have the water cooled heads. Congrats on your purchase. What model CVO did you get ? Ohh and post some Pics if you can.

The tune is the only thing I haven't done yet. Been riding my old bike, it's hot down here right now so I don't have 1000 miles on it yet. Got custom pipes so the cats are gone.
It's pretty simple, those lowers stop the air from getting to the motor, with no wind back there on the rear cylinder, the pipe gets hotter, and without the wind it heats up the leg. That little vent on the lowers isn't enough to cool you down, and that liquid only cools the head, not the motor. My bet is the engine runs hotter with all this garbage on there than it did before they fixed something that wasn't broke. My research shows most riders in the south have been removing the lowers during the summer until they put the radiator in them. That's just more hot air on the rider.
