Default 2016 Street Glide stereo & other crap

The local dealership is prepping my new SGS today. I'm curious - I had an amp & speaker upgrade on my 2013, because the stock stuff was, you know, crap. I hear the new ones are much better. Have you felt the need to upgrade your stereo? And what the deal with the windshield bags? Can't use one because of the fairing slot? I'm gonna miss my man-purse...

That is for 2013 and older....Will not fit 2014+

Edit: My mistake....that one does fit....Quick part# search took me to the older version of the bag for some reason.

I put a J&M amp and speakers on my 2014 SGS. I think it sounds much better. The speakers are a PITA to install due to the speaker pods, but not impossible.

As others mentioned, they do have a fairing pouch for the new ones.
They don't hold much, but come in handy.

As for your stereo upgrade, that will come down to personal preference.
As soon as you hear one with added amps and better speakers, your going to want them.

Well since you had upgraded sound system on your previous bike you're not going to happy with stock one might is well bite the bullet and get the whole shebang that way if you buy the ESP it will be covered no question asked for extra years .

My stock sound system sounds better than several luxury car systems I've driven.

Spend a little time reading some of the posts in the Audio section - upgrading the tunes is night and day over stock, but there are a few things you need to know before doing so.
