Default 2014 FLHTK fork oil change ??

Is there any way to change the fork oil without completely disassembling the forks?
It's bad enough you have to disassemble a perfectly good motorcycle to do this.

You could try a syringe add a apiece off hose to it and possibly remove the fluid. Make sure to pump the forks a few times to get all the fluid.

It really is easy to remove them. Maybe a little intimidating to some but their's nothing complicated. You'll need a 19mm (3/4" works also) Allen wrench to remove the fork caps.

A factory service manual is worth it's weight in gold for procedures such as this. Gives you step by step directions as well as torque specifications for fasteners.

I'd also like to add that it's ridiculous that the forks don't have a way to drain the oil from them without having to remove the assembly.

So looking at the service schedule it says to "Rebuild" the forks every 50,000 miles, changing oil. Man that seems like a lot of work.
I remember older Honda's I had, had a drain plug on the bottom of the forks which made it easy to change the oil.
My 2005 Goldwing doesn't have that either. They have to be removed from the bike and the fork caps removed and then turn them upside down and drain, (and pump them) to get the oil out.
Why do they make these bikes so much more work to service these days?

Could it be possible to drill a drain hole in the bottom of the forks and then tap a screw in there to seal it?

I changed my front shocks on the '07 Ultra to Progressive Mono-Tube shocks.

Never have to change the fluid after the install.
Price of the shocks equals (+/-) the shock oil change price at the dealer.

Every penny count's i guess, 2 drain screws, over 200 thousand bikes, plus dealer gets more service work, lol

I am hoping that some one has done it and has engineered a legitimate shortcut or 2 for removing the old fluid and installing the new fluid without taking apart perfectly good forks. I have read the procedure & I am very capable of doing the task however; I would rather use my brain than my back. No "embracing the suck" [lol] unless absolutely necessary...
